Voltiris Business Analyst Internship

Who is Voltiris?

Voltiris is a Dutch-Swiss startup that has developed the world's first solar energy system that fully integrates in greenhouses. Light frequencies required for crop growth are passed on the plants, the rest is turned into large-scale renewable energy.  This way we turn greenhouses into net energy producers. Voltiris is a fast growing startup team of 40 people across our Swiss and Dutch offices. We have projects live in greenhouses in The Netherlands, Belgium, France and Switzerland. To support this acceleration, we are looking for Business Analysts.

What does the internship involve?

As Business Analyst intern you join the Commercial Operations team in The Hague. You'll do the analysis behind every customer conversation. In practice you will:

• Build pre-feasibility studies for growers, using their energy consumption, tariffs, greenhouse characteristics and site constraints
• Model the business case: energy savings, production impact, payback and ROI
• Prepare the numbers behind proposals and presentations for our Sales Managers, including our North America lead
• Check customer data, spot gaps and inconsistencies, and go back to the source when something doesn't add up
• Improve and standardise the models and templates the commercial team uses
• Contribute to market analysis that shapes where we focus next

Practical details: 6 months, full-time with at least 60% in our The Hague office. Starting date is flexible. We're looking for someone who could consider staying full-time after the internship.

What are we looking for?

• A degree in Engineering, Energy, Economics, Business, Agriculture or another quantitative field

• Strong in Excel is a plus

• Familiarity with AI tools

• Curious and critical: you don't accept a result you can't explain

• You like supporting a team and working to their deadlines
• You're comfortable in a startup where processes are still being built
• Fluent English; Dutch, German or French is a plus
• Interest in renewable energy, agritech or horticulture; experience with energy systems or techno-economic analysis is a strong plus
