We are burobol, the in-house creative agency of bol.

At our 3000+-employee campus in Utrecht, we are the agency down the hall. People know us by name and come knocking when they need help delivering impactful creative outcomes. We deliver campaigns, platform visuals, photography, video content, activations, product storytelling, and more.

We are a multidisciplinary crew of creative, de- signers, copywriters, producers, and strategists. We are storytellers who seek to push the boundaries of creativity. When we connect people, it creates a lasting spark. When we connect the dots, it sparks strong ideas. We tell compelling stories. We make visuals that catch the eye. Also known as ‘de winkel van ons allemaal’ (the shop for us all), bol is the go-to e-commerce platform for more than 13 million customers in the
Netherlands and Belgium. Bol is an unmistakable part of the Dutch and Belgian landscape. You can see its highly recognisable ads at bus stops, on the television, on the radio, and its branded parcels on everyone’s doorsteps. But bol’s success is not only measured by how visible it is on the streets and in people’s homes. It shows in how it is embedded in people’s habits and how it mirrors cultural trends and societal topics. In that sense, bol doesn’t just advertise, it reflects the world it’s part of.

From idea to execution You’re one of us

At burobol, you’ll be an integral part of our team. Here, everyone contributes actively to our creative studio’s vision with their unique set of skills, talents, and strengths. That’s why, as part of this programme, you will be improving our projects with your initiatives and ideas. We work in a structured and organised way—typical of a big company—but we are open-minded and flexible in how we think and act. We can let our creativity run free to best meet the needs and goals of each project. Putting people in boxes? Not for us. We only do that with the items we sell. As a group, we benefit the most when each member brings their own experience, background, and values. And that’s how each individual thrives the
most too. We’ll challenge you, but don’t worry—we’ll guide you along the way. What we want is for you to learn and enjoy the ride with us.

We’re looking for brave hearts with bold minds

You enjoy exploring creativity with a curious attitude. With your background in copywriting, design, production or communications, you know when something works and when something doesn’t. Even if you lack formal education in these fields, you make up for it with skills like visual thinking, a feel for language, an eye for design, and/or organisational talents. You don’t need to know everything, as long as you are eager to learn and ready to seize opportunities. What we’re looking for are distinct personalities with integrity. It doesn’t matter whether you are more outgoing or more reserved, you’ll fit right in at burobol.

Here are the actual vacancies

As the briefings come flying in our inboxes, we are always on the lookout for some fresh minds to help us out. At burobol, there is a wide
range of internship openings to satisfy your creative hunger. Here’s a list of the roles we have in store for you:

  • Creative Designer — Cursors always point you in the right creative direction. You can make amazing visuals with vectors and pixels, from scratch or from existing designs.
  • Creative Copywriter — You low-key break a sweat whenever you leave a typo in a text... to your friends. You have a way with words like no one else. You tell captivating stories for all types of audience.
  • Concept Creative — You collect inspiration online like your mom used to tear pages out of magazines. You turn ideas into stories and sell concepts with your vision.
  • Producer — You get a kick out of turning creative chaos into structured magic. You know what needs to happen, when, and who to call to make it all run smoothly. Deadlines? You eat them for breakfast.
  • AI Designer — You speak fluent Photoshop, Figma, and Midjourney. You’re a visual thinker who sees AI not as a shortcut, but as a superpower. You blend craft with code to push pixels—and boundaries.
  • AI Creative Copywriter — You’re the kind of person who tests five prompts just to make sure the sixth one really hits. You mix human emotion with machine precision to write copy that clicks, converts, and connects.
  • AI Specialist — You live at the intersection of curiosity and technology. You explore, experiment, and engineer the future of creativity with AI. You work closely with an intern AI Creative Copywriter or intern AI Design on a commonproject together with our AI team.

What to know:

Start dates: February and September

Internship days: To be agreed on (usually 4 or 5 days a week)
