Student Assistant Position for Quantum-safe Research Project - online tool development (Summer/Fall)
 
Project Description:
We are looking for a master's student who can participate in building an online assessment tool in a project called HAPKIDO (Hybrid Approach for quantum-safe Public Key Infrastructure Development for Organizations). The selected student will work as a student assistant and will be compensated while working on the project.
 
During this project, we are building an online assessment tool that can be used by organizations with a set of criteria and metrics to measure organizational readiness levels. The tool may include features such as real-time assessment, grading and downloadable results and tailored recommendations. The tool must adhere to data security standards to ensure privacy and safeguard sensitive organizational data.
 
Project Objective:
To build an online assessment tool that can be used by organizations to evaluate their readiness levels for adopting quantum-safe technology in the existing infrastructures.
 
Project Duration:
The estimated duration of the project is 250 hours. The student assistant can start working in August (preferably).
Timing is flexible and can be agreed up on. The work will be carried out until the fall of 2024.
 
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a master's degree program.
  • Strong programming skills to develop an online tool (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PHP etc.)
  • Availability to participate in all phases of tool development from requirement analysis, prototyping and evaluation of the tool.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of quantum computing threats and post-quantum cryptography is a plus.
