About Stedin

Transporting energy 24/7 while working on the energy transition. There are smaller challenges. But together we are taking them on. Residential areas, industries, hospitals, the enormous port of Rotterdam. Every day, we work extremely hard on a network that everyone can rely on. And meanwhile, we are working hard on the energy world of the new energy generation. So there is plenty to do. Would you like to join us?

Our work area

We are grid managers in most parts of the Randstad, including The Hague, Utrecht, Rotterdam and the Rijnmond port and Botlek area. Busy, urban areas with complex infrastructure, where dependence on energy is high and energy must always be available. For living, working and life. Today, and tomorrow. In addition, we manage the energy infrastructure in the regions of Kennemerland, Amstelland and Northeast Friesland.

Future Makers (WO-traineeship)

With our talent programme 'Toekomstmakers' (future makers), we will work towards a world full of new energy. During the two-year talent programme, you get a good idea of the energy transition. You will discover what is involved and the role that Stedin plays in this transition. You will work on various projects in which you can make a direct difference for Stedin and for energy transition. The programme is all about you and your development. You will work on an innovative and challenging development programme in which you will further discover and develop yourself and the world inside and outside Stedin. The next starting date is in September 2022. Read more about the stories of our future makers here.

As an intern, you have a fresh view on our company. During your internship with us, you can expand and share your knowledge. You will get plenty of room for your own initiatives and great development opportunities. Whether you are looking for a graduation internship or a work placement. There are various intake moments for interns. You can find the internship vacancies here

So there is plenty to do! Would you like to join us? Check out the vacancies at:

Personal development

The energy world is developing all the time. And you will grow along with it!

Developments happen at a rapid pace and we have to keep up. We don't think about how we did it yesterday, but how we will do it tomorrow. This means that we are fully committed to your professional and personal growth. Your manager plays an important role in this. Together, you discuss the work, what is going well and what can be improved, where adjustments are needed and where your growth opportunities lie.

Because of the energy transition, there is plenty of work. You're not choosing a job, but a career. With plenty of growth opportunities. We provide retraining and extra training and even have our own company school with safety courses (standards), technical courses (craftsmanship) and courses to help you learn to control the systems and processes that we use at Stedin. Because the better you are, the better we can realise the transition to sustainable energy.

Are you curious?

Keep a close eye on Curius. This academic year, Stedin is taking part in the Management Event on 22 February and we will be giving a lunch lecture on 19 April. We will also be present at Ballen met Bedrijven on 20 May and our future makers will be giving an interview for the third consul. Will we see you at one of these events?

Would you like to have a (virtual) cup of coffee and discuss whether Stedin might be something for you? Please contact Kajal Falli (; 06-11063857).
