Description

WANTED: RESEARCH ASSISTANT

The European Waterwarmth project is looking for a student assistant (0.3 FTE) to work with us on energy governance recommendations for aquathermal energy systems.
Company: Delft University of Technology
Study phase: Master; 3 rd year Bachelor
Required languages: English and Dutch
Period: 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026

As a Student Research Assistant you will work with a team of TU Delft researchers on an international multi-actor research project. The project seeks to establish the potential of Aquathermal Energy systems in the Province of South Holland (PZH). Together with the provincial stakeholders and the research team, the student will gather all relevant information and compile this into a comprehensive and useful document that will clarify the state of the art on aquathermal energy in this province. You will also have an interaction with some stakeholders in this field and be part of planning some topic
focused events.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the key project researchers.
  • Collect information and compile a report on what has taken place in the Province of South Holland so far in the field of aquathermal energy systems (AE).
  • Take part in interviewing key stakeholders and practitioners to identify key bottlenecks and opportunities.
  • Organize and take part in a stakeholder workshop to exchange knowledge on aquathermal energy and draw visions and possible development pathways towards successful implementation of this innovation.
