Why would you want to work for NIBC's CRE team?

Commercial Real Estate is one of the core activities of NIBC. Over the years, we have established a long-standing track record in this dynamic industry. NIBC is active in the origination, structuring, execution and monitoring of lending transactions in the real estate markets. We stand out in the financial sector by originating real estate deals that are often more difficult to finance by the larger banks, as we can offer more tailor made solutions for our clients. We provide development-, construction- and investment loans for all major real estate asset classes, starting from EUR 15 million per financing.

Our purpose is to make a difference at decisive moments for our clients and build successful relations. The inventiveness of our solutions often determines our ability to do this, and inventive ideas arise from diverse teams. We are therefore looking for people with any sorts of profiles who want to contribute to our open culture. To increase our professionalism we also focus on giving each other continuous feedback. A high performance culture can only be sustained with talented individuals who are always ready to take the next step to grow.

We are a dynamic and high performing team based in The Hague. Our diverse team is made up by a balanced mix of young talents and experienced professionals which has proven to be an excellent basis to thrive for our common goal: provide financing solutions that support our clients in growing their businesses. Also important, we regularly organize drinks and events together outside of work.

NIBC CRE is looking for an intern who will be actively involved in supporting our deal execution and portfolio management. We are able to offer you valuable experience in the area of financing and (corporate) banking in general. As we are always on the lookout for new talent, this internship could also lead to an analyst position and a spot in NIBC’s Talent Program traineeship.

What will you do?

As a CRE intern, you are a member of the execution and portfolio management team in our The Hague office. We work in small interdisciplinary deal teams with a clear client angle. You are involved in the execution of new business opportunities as well as in the day-to-day management of existing transactions. You will work on the following activities:

  • Supporting tasks;

  • Reviewing performance of existing transactions (portfolio management activities);

  • Performing market, industry and company specific analyses and due diligence;

  • Engage in side-projects of the CRE team;

  • Become an active deal team member by assisting a deal team with writing transaction proposals and closing of new transactions.

Who are we looking for?

Dependable and committed team player with good analytical- and communication skills. Extra-curricular activities and other relevant experience which show affinity with finance and/or real estate are appreciated but do not constitute a prerequisite. Furthermore, we are looking for a talent who is enthusiastic, naturally curious and continuously willing to learn.

  • Current Master student in economics, business administration, law or technology, for example;

  • Speaking Dutch is a requirement;

  • Enjoy analysing complex numerical problems;

  • Like taking initiative, are not afraid to ask questions and want to develop yourself;

  • Have a commercial mindset, like to work together, have a go-getter attitude and are involved with your team.

What you will get?

We offer you the chance to work and gain first-hand experience in the field of corporate banking. NIBC CRE has been a key financier in the Dutch banking landscape, with an increasing portfolio of loans and large ambitions. The momentum and energy which accompanies this growth will inspire you and provide an ambitious environment to work in.

Irina currently participates in the Talent Program as a Junior Analyst

“Working at NIBC means that I am able to make an impact from day one. I am challenged and given various responsibilities very early in my career, meaning that the learning curve is steep but also that the work is exciting. I feel supported by my colleagues at Infra who share their knowledge with me daily and who recognize my achievements. The Talent Program represents yet another opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture of NIBC, to build your entrepreneurial skills through the Sustainability Challenge and to have a lot of fun with your fellow analysts.
