Going Abroad

During your studies there are many opportunities to visit foreign countries. Most students go abroad during their minor, but also in any other period of your study, you can go abroad. There are several options, such as:

  • Studies
  • Projects
  • Internships
  • Curius activities

It is important that, if you wish to go abroad, you start early with orientating yourself. A number of universities require that you enroll yourself long before your program starts.

It is wise to make an appointment with the coordinator for international exchanges. Toke Hoek is the International Exchange Officer of the faculty TPM. You can find her in room a2.340, e-mail: C.A.Hoek@tudelft.nl, number: 015-2783367. She can provide you with information on what options are available and what the requirements are to follow the curriculum.

If you already want to look up information on the Internet, you can visit the website of our faculty. This website clearly outlines the steps you should take to study abroad and what the possible destinations are. Experiences of other students who have studied abroad are available as well.

In addition to the International Office at our faculty, you can also visit the central International Office of Delft University of Technology. You can get information about the various foreign universities, grants and funds that you can use and other useful tips for studying abroad. On their website, study and internship abroad, you can find information about everything that is involved in the organization of a study period abroad.
